The Wellington City Council (WCC) has allocated $3.4 million to upgrade WCC owned, Newtown Community Centre run community facilities in Newtown such as the community theatre space located at the Newtown Community and Cultural Centre. The steering committee of “Our Town, Newtown” hired Opportunity Arts to undertake some outreach workshops, ensuring that harder to reach community members with diverse backgrounds had their voices and opinions heard!
